ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Affiliate Marketing Roles

There are two main roles in Affiliate Marketing:

  • The Merchant, who sells a product, and
  • The Affiliiate, who markets the Merchants product for a commision of the sale.

Merchants only pay out commisions upon a sale, making affilitate marketing a risk free method of product promotion. If you have 100 affiliate promoting your product, none of whom result in a sale, you owe nothing.

Affiliates earn reveneue by recommending Merchant products and aren't required to create products or handle customer service issues.

As you can see, this is a win-win for everyone.
